Senior IBM ODM Developer / System Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior IBM ODM Developer / System Analyst with deep expertise in enterprise decision management and business process automation. The primary focus of this role is designing, developing, testing, and supporting complex decision-rule architectures using IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient automated decision models and business rules.

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support custom decision engines and applications using IBM ODM.

• Perform ODM system upgrades, migrations, patching, defect analysis, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

• Support and maintain enterprise applications in alignment with SLAs and internal IT standards.

• Resolve complex technical issues and collaborate across multi-functional teams.

Mandatory Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in IBM ODM / Rule Designer (v8.10.x), Rule Execution Server (RES), Decision Center, and Action/Ruleset development.

• Strong technical depth in BOM/XOM, Decision Tables, Technical Rules, and Rule Flows.

• Proven experience in ODM upgrades/migrations, patching, production support, and performance tuning.

• Core software development knowledge in Java / Java EE, REST APIs, RDBMS, and SQL.

• Experience working within Agile development teams

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Good to Have (Added Advantage)

• Working knowledge or hands-on exposure to IBM BAW / BPM (v20.x) and WebSphere Application Server (WAS).

• Insurance or Financial Services (BFSI) domain experience.

• Knowledge of IBM MQ, Shell/Batch Scripting, GIT, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure Cloud.
