Role Description The Senior Database Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions that support mission-critical applications and data workflows. Day-to-day tasks include creating and maintaining database schemas, writing complex queries and stored procedures, implementing ETL processes, and ensuring data integrity and performance. The Senior Database Developer will collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable database architectures, troubleshoot issues, and support ongoing database administration activities. The role also involves mentoring junior team members and contributing to best practices for data management and security.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Database Development and Database Design to build scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions.
• Candidates should possess skills in Database Administration and performance tuning to ensure reliability, availability, and optimal operation of database environments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Analytical Skills to support data integration, reporting, and decision-making.
• Experience with relational database systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL technologies is beneficial.
• Knowledge of data security, backup and recovery strategies, and high-availability architectures is desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and to work collaboratively in a team environment.
