Job Overview
Skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and manufacturing of low and medium voltage switchboards. The role involves preparing electrical designs overseeing production processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Job Description / Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare switchboard and control panel designs and layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), in accordance with project requirements and customer specifications.
- Interpret technical specifications, single-line diagrams, and project requirements to develop suitable switchboard and control panel solutions.
- Prepare, review, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), technical specifications, and engineering documentation using ERP systems to support procurement, production planning, and project execution.
- Select and specify electrical components such as breakers, contactors, relays, meters, and busbars.
- Coordinate with project and production teams to ensure accurate and timely assembly of switchboards.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEC) and company procedures.
- Work with clients and project managers to understand technical requirements and provide solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes and design optimization.
- Ability to manage design related issues independently.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
- Experience in LV / MV switchgear design projects is a plus point. Others without this experience are encouraged to apply as well.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and experience in managing BOM, material planning, and engineering documentation will be an added advantage.
- Preferably to be computer literate and familiar with MS Office, AutoCAD application and Solidwork.
- Have High Sense of Responsibility.

- Applicants must be Malaysian citizens who is based in Penang.
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
