BIM Engineer

Location: Malaysia
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced BIM Engineer to join our Digital Engineering team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality BIM models, drawings, and technical outputs that support engineering, construction, and project delivery teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong BIM modeling experience, excellent technical drafting skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models and CAD deliverables in accordance with project requirements and BIM Execution Plans.
• Create accurate construction models, technical drawings, and graphical deliverables using BIM software.
• Perform model coordination, clash detection, and constructability reviews.
• Review engineering sketches, mark-ups, and design information to produce high-quality BIM outputs.
• Generate construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
• Support tender submissions through the development of technical and graphical presentations.
• Coordinate and collaborate with engineering, operations, consultants, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Incorporate review comments and update models to ensure project requirements are met.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to modeling and drafting activities.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with BIM standards, project requirements, and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant BIM, CAD, or drafting experience.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of BIM methodologies, workflows, and coordination processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Hands-on experience with BIM software such as:
• Revit
• Civil 3D
• Navisworks
• Experience producing construction shop drawings, Combined Services Drawings (CSD), and Installation Shop Drawings (ISD).
• Experience performing clash detection, model coordination, and construction simulations.
• Ability to export and manage construction documentation from BIM models.
• Good understanding of engineering and construction principles.
