We are seeking a proactive Procurement Executive to manage end-to-end sourcing and purchasing for our advanced robotics and automation systems (AMRs/AGVs). You will collaborate closely with R&D and Production to source technical components—from servo motors and PLCs to custom-machined parts—negotiate terms, and ensure seamless supply chain delivery.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Source, evaluate, and establish strong relationships with technical vendors specializing in robotics components (e.g., servo motors, drives, PLCs, vision sensors, pneumatic actuators, raw metals, and custom machining).
- Evaluate supplier performance continuously based on Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service (QCDS) metrics.
- Negotiate price, payment terms, and lead-time to optimize total cost of ownership while maintaining product quality.
2. Operational Purchasing & Order Fulfillment
- Review PR issued by the PPC department to generate Purchase Orders (POs).
- Issue POs, track delivery schedules, and aggressively resolve lead-time delays to ensure robotics assembly projects meet production deadlines.
- Resolve discrepancies regarding delivery quantities, defective components, and invoice matching with suppliers and internal finance/warehouse teams.
- Review and arrange Import shipment.
3. Cross-Functional Engineering Collaboration
- Work closely with the R&D department during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase to evaluate component availability, long-lead items, and cost targets.
- Coordinate Engineering Change Notices (ECN) with vendors to ensure outdated parts are phased out seamlessly.
4. Inventory & Compliance
- Assist the warehouse team in managing safety stock levels for high-turnover automation standard parts (e.g., fasteners, cabling, sensors).
- Ensure all purchased materials receive on time.
Job & Skill Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience in automation, robotics, industrial electronics, system integration, or high-tech manufacturing.
- Software Skills: Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, problem-solving, analytical, and vendor management skills.
- Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin speakers will be at an advantage.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and SST tax regulation/exemption
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability in time management and planning.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
