Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, customer-oriented customer support technician to join our technical support team. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical frontline for our deployment of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), and Digital Factory (DF) software solutions.
You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, electrical, and software issues for our industrial clients, ensuring minimal downtime and high operational satisfaction across manufacturing and warehouse facilities.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
1. Technical Troubleshooting & Support
- Provide Tier 1 & Tier 2 technical support via phone, email, remote ticketing systems, and on-site visits.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults in robotics hardware, including motors, motor drivers, sensors (LiDAR, ultrasonic, optical), safety relays, battery systems, and wiring harnesses.
- Troubleshoot software-to-hardware interface issues, robot fleet management systems, Wi-Fi connectivity, and basic PLC/I-O integrations.
2. On-Site Field Service & Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and emergency breakdown repairs on AMRs, AGVs, and charging stations at customer sites.
- Execute firmware/software updates, sensor calibrations, and map updates for deployed robot fleets.
- Inspect mechanical assemblies, drive systems, and structural components for wear and tear.
3. Customer Training & Onboarding
- Conduct hands-on training for client operations and maintenance teams on robot operation, basic troubleshooting, and safety protocols.
- Assist in site acceptance testing (SAT) and commissioning during initial project handovers.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Log all customer cases, diagnostic steps, spare part usages, and root cause analyses accurately in the CRM/ticketing system.
- Prepare clear technical field service reports for customers and internal engineering teams.
- Feed recurring product issues back to R&D and Quality Assurance teams to drive continuous product improvement.
- Execute product assembly for DF robots and machines.
- Install new products and test them to ensure they are working correctly.
- Ensure smooth running of equipment with minimum machinery downtime.
- Liaise with supervisor or CS Engineer to order parts needed for repairs.
Job & Skills Requirement:
- Candidates must possess at least a SPM, Certificate, or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic / Electromechanical Engineering.
- At least 1 year of working experience in production and technical departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, and highly organized.
- Able to do electrical & electronic wiring, mechanical assembly, handling common and power tools.
- Required language (s): English and Bahasa Malaysia. Required skill(s): Microsoft Office, Google Drive (Apps).
- Strong technical documentation skills: Accurate logging of service cases, diagnostic steps, and spare part usage.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and strict adherence to client safety protocols (PPE/inductions).
- Physical ability to perform field work, including lifting equipment components and maneuvering in industrial environments.
- Possession of a valid driving license.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
