ABOUT THE FSC GROUP

The FSC Group is a specialist food operations consultancy with over 35 years of award-winning experience creating, delivering and managing bespoke food-on-the-move solutions for leading brands worldwide. We partner with blue-chip clients including Shell (in multiple markets), National Trust, Dunelm and Waterstones, drawing on deep sector expertise to deliver tailored category, operational and consultancy services.

Our work spans nine countries, with offices in the UK, Prague and Kuala Lumpur, anchored by our Head Office in Cheddar and our Innovation Centre near Bristol. We're a B Corp certified, Carbon Neutral business — privately held, self-funded, and genuinely committed to ethical stewardship and ESG in everything we do.

As an Agile Enterprise, our teams work using Scrum frameworks and Agile principles, with leadership rooted in coaching and empowerment. We foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture — and we make sure there's a good chunk of fun along the way. No day is the same at FSC.

THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable foodservice insights that drive sales growth, minimise waste, and strengthen financial performance across markets. By combining rigorous data analysis with strong operational understanding, this role ensures the integrity of waste credit processes, supports market expansion through robust reporting solutions, and responds swiftly to site‑level needs.

The analyst champions a data‑driven culture by applying statistical techniques, uncovering trends and optimisation opportunities, and translating complex findings into clear, compelling narratives that guide decision‑making for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Foodservice Profiling, Waste & Bake Plan (70%)

  • Conduct comprehensive and timely foodservice profiling by store and product to drive sales, minimise waste and maximise profitability, aligned with category targets.
  • Accurately calculate waste credit for submission to customer for retailer payments and carry out quarterly line of defence audits to ensure compliance and financial accuracy.
  • Respond to ad-hoc site requests for bake plan amendments relayed through the customer service channel.
  • Optimise the bake plan by forecasting daily and weekly requirements, ensuring the right quantities are produced at the right time for each site.

Dashboards & Data-Driven Culture (10%)

  • Provide analytical support to the line manager and account managers through dashboards, built primarily in Power BI for existing and future markets.
  • Champion a data-driven culture by promoting accessibility, literacy and thoughtful use of insights across markets.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, operations and category teams to align forecasts with promotional plans, new product launches and market changes.

Stakeholder Communication & Insight (10%)

  • Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a compelling, narrative-driven format tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Present forecasting insights and stock health updates to stakeholders in a clear, narrative-driven format that supports decision-making.

Demand Forecasting & Variance Analysis (10%)

  • Develop accurate short-term and long-term demand forecasts using historical data, seasonality patterns and statistical modelling techniques.
  • Apply statistical methods and analytical techniques to evaluate hypotheses and measure business impact.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for optimisation across key business areas.
  • Conduct variance analyses between forecast and actual sales, waste and production outputs, identifying root causes and improvement opportunities.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Malaysian and resides in Malaysia.
  • 2–3 years' experience in a data analysis, insights or reporting role, ideally within FMCG, food-to-go, retail or foodservice operations.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, analysis and reporting (Power Pivot, Power Query, advanced formula, VBA Macro)
  • Strong analytical curiosity — able to dig into messy or incomplete operational data and surface the insight that actually matters.
  • Demonstrable ability to apply statistical methods and analytical techniques to evaluate hypotheses and measure business impact.
  • Excellent presentation skills — able to turn complex analysis into a clear, compelling, narrative-driven story for both technical and non-technical audiences.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in the food industry, particularly FMCG or food-to-go.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams) for collaborative reporting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Power BI — data modelling, DAX and dashboard build and maintenance — as this will be the primary reporting tool across markets.
  • Experience working across multiple markets or with cross-cultural, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with demand forecasting or statistical modelling techniques.

WHO YOU ARE

  • A brand ambassador who's aligned with FSC's strategy and a visible role model for ESG principles.
  • Great at cross-functional and cross-cultural working — collaborates openly with the Insights & Analytics team, account managers and market teams, adapting style to diverse contexts.
  • A strong communicator, able to translate technical detail into clear explanations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organised, with effective prioritisation and time management — manages a varied workbooks workload independently.
  • Comfortable with change and continuous improvement in Excel delivery.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and technically curious — brings solutions rather than waiting to be directed.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving capability; debugs methodically rather than guessing.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with a genuine "can do" attitude.

THE DETAILS

  • Permanent, full time — Monday to Friday, flexible working options considered (35 hours weekly).
  • Hybrid — FSC office (KLIC) with 2 days weekly WFH.
  • Competitive salary + 20 days holiday + your birthday off + 11 public holidays + healthcare scheme + other company benefits.

Sound like you? We'd love to hear from you.
