We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, maintain and enhance our business-critical digital applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development and will support systems such as our booking platforms, customer-facing website and mobile application, agent portal, payment integrations, check-in interfaces and internal operational systems.

This position requires someone who can work independently, understand operational requirements and convert business needs into reliable, secure and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain full-stack web and mobile applications.
• Develop and enhance front-end interfaces, back-end services, databases and application programming interfaces (APIs).
• Maintain and improve the company’s booking, ticketing, agent portal and other operational applications.
• Integrate internal applications with payment gateways, third-party platforms, vendors and external systems.
• Work with management and operational departments to understand requirements and recommend practical technical solutions.
• Investigate and resolve application errors, system defects, performance issues and production incidents.
• Conduct system testing and support users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Monitor application performance, availability, security and data integrity.
• Apply secure coding practices and appropriate access controls, particularly for customer, booking and passenger information.
• Maintain proper source-code control, system documentation, technical specifications and deployment records.
• Manage application releases, updates, backups and recovery procedures.
• Coordinate with external software vendors and service providers when required.
• Provide technical guidance and user support for applications developed or maintained by the company.
• Provide reasonable after-hours support when urgent production incidents affect business operations.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline. Candidates with equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
• At least three years of relevant experience in full-stack software development.
• Proven experience developing and supporting live production applications.
• Strong knowledge of the company’s required front-end technology
• Strong knowledge of the company’s required back-end technology
• Good working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs, JSON services and third-party applications.
• Familiarity with Git or another source-code version-control system.
• Experience with application deployment, cloud or server environments and CI/CD practices.
• Understanding of authentication, authorisation, data protection and secure coding principles.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently, prioritise operational issues and manage multiple development requirements.
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical users.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with travel, transportation, ticketing, reservation or e-commerce systems.
• Experience integrating online payment gateways and external booking platforms.
• Experience developing responsive websites or mobile applications.
• Familiarity with Docker, cloud services and Linux or Windows server environments.
• Understanding of Singapore PDPA requirements and protection of customer data.
• Experience coordinating with external developers, vendors or technology partners.
