About the Role
Lead the finance function and oversee a small finance team responsible for day-to-day accounting operations. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, manage audits and budgeting, support regulatory compliance, and work closely with senior stakeholders to provide sound financial stewardship.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance team and oversee daily accounting operations.
- Review monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports.
- Manage annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Present financial reports to senior management and the Finance Board.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulators.
- Drive process improvements and strengthen finance controls.
- Coach and develop the finance team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy or a recognized professional accounting qualification.
- At least 5–7 years of accounting and finance experience.
- Strong experience with: Full sets of accounts in financial reporting, Budgeting and Audit management
- Experience leading or supervising a finance team.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in the charity, non-profit, or church sector is advantageous.
Additional:
- Required to attend 2 X AGM, Friday and Sat Night, once very 2 months.
