Job Summary

Perform maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and documentation of hardware and software systems to ensure optimal IT infrastructure performance at Cambrian Engineering Corporation.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and update hardware and software systems to ensure operational efficiency
• Install new hardware including computers, servers, and peripherals to support IT infrastructure needs
• Install and update software such as MS Office, antivirus, and operating systems to maintain system security and functionality
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues to minimize downtime and resolve IT problems promptly
• Implement repairs and updates based on diagnostic assessments to restore system performance
• Generate detailed error, diagnostic, and repair reports to document IT incidents and resolutions
• Prepare technical documents including error and maintenance reports to support IT operations and audits

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in information technology preferred
• Proficiency in operating systems such as MS Windows and MAC OS
• Sound knowledge of IT hardware including computers, servers, and peripherals
• Strong understanding of software systems including network, enterprise, and office programs
• Good understanding of computer equipment including laptops, servers, printers, and routers
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
