Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in EHSS activities, including reporting hazards, unsafe conditions, near misses,
and contributing to monthly EHSS reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company EHSS policies, procedures, and local statutory regulations.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping within assigned work areas and ensure site safety
requirements are consistently followed.
- Conduct risk assessments, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and implement appropriate control
measures before maintenance activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all electrical maintenance activities are carried out
safely and in accordance with permit-to-work requirements.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment,
including switchgears, transformers, LV/MV systems, motors, VFDs, protective relays, UPS
systems, and associated distribution equipment.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to schedule, execute, and
close maintenance work orders.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and equipment failures to minimize downtime and restore operations
efficiently.
- Monitor equipment performance, condition, and reliability, and recommend improvement measures
where necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, calibration, and condition monitoring of electrical equipment.
- Support plant operation requirements and provide technical assistance during maintenance
shutdowns and emergency situations.
- Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, and operations teams to ensure smooth plant
operations.
- Lead or participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations and ensure corrective
actions are implemented and tracked to closure.
- Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability, energy efficiency, productivity, and
maintenance effectiveness.
- Develop and implement improvement projects, including system upgrades, equipment
modifications, and reliability enhancement initiatives.
- Analyse maintenance and operational data to identify trends and recommend preventive actions.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors and vendors performing electrical maintenance or project
work.
- Review technical specifications, scopes of work, method statements, and risk assessments
submitted by contractors.
- Monitor project implementation to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within
approved budgets.
- Support commissioning and acceptance testing activities for new installations and modifications.
- Manage electrical spare parts inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels to support
operational requirements.
- Monitor spare parts consumption and initiate replenishment processes when required.
- Ensure accurate inventory records and proper storage of critical electrical components.
- Prepare, review, and update maintenance procedures, SOPs, work instructions, OJT materials,
and technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, and statutory inspection reports.
· Conduct on-the-job training and competency assessments for technicians and new team members. · Share technical knowledge and lessons learned from equipment failures and maintenance activities. · Coordinate daily maintenance activities and prioritize work orders to ensure timely completion. · Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and junior team members. · Act as the designated lead for daily maintenance activities during the absence of the O&M Manager. · Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning within the maintenance team
Requirements *:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognized engineering qualification.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in operations and maintenance of industrial plants, utilities,
power generation facilities, energy infrastructure, or manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability engineering.
- Experience in managing contractors and maintenance service providers is preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and maintenance planning processes.
- Experience budgeting and forecasting capital expenses.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience leading a team of technicians and working with stakeholders
