Job Description

• Lead the patch management process for Windows and Linux systems to ensure optimal security and performance.
• Utilise enterprise patching tools such as WSUS, Landscape, or similar, to deploy and manage updates.
• Oversee OS upgrade projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Conduct patch validation to confirm successful deployment and system compatibility.
• Implement and manage backup and restore procedures to safeguard critical data.
• Monitor IT systems using ServiceNow ITSM and SCOM tools for performance and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of patching activities.
• Provide guidance and leadership to the infrastructure and security operations team.
  
  

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Patching Engineer Team Lead Should Have

• Proficiency in Windows and Linux patch management.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise patching tools such as WSUS and Landscape.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM and SCOM monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of OS upgrades, backup and restore procedures, and patch validation techniques.
• Understanding of VMware and ITIL frameworks is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to lead and collaborate within a team effectively.
