Freight Operations Executive

Location: Kembangan Plaza (Right across from Kembangan MRT)

Salary Range: S$3,000 – S$3,500 / month (Commensurate with experience)

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Mid-Level)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM – 6:00 PM

About the Business

We are an established Singaporean freight forwarding agency managing high-volume Asia-Pacific export logistics. We are currently expanding our team and seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage crucial shipping documentation, data integrity, and stakeholder communication.

Note: While previous experience with TradeNet is a plus, it is not mandatory. We provide structured, hands-on training for all industry-specific software and permit applications.

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like

• Milestone & Data Management: Take charge of logging container numbers, shipment milestones, and invoicing data into our core management system with high accuracy.
• Vetting Documentation: Review and verify essential export paperwork, including Commercial Invoices, Draft Bills of Lading, and Packing Lists, to ensure total compliance.
• Proactive Coordination: Serve as the central link between shipping lines, co-loaders, and third-party vendors to verify booking statuses and coordinate container releases.
• Stakeholder Communication: Directly contact clients and vendors via phone and email to resolve documentation gaps, clarify discrepancies, and provide real-time tracking updates.
• Permit & Schedule Tracking: Monitor vessel timelines and port gate-in deadlines to catch potential delays early. You will also learn to handle TradeNet declarations and e-permit filings under mentorship.

Candidate Profile

• Professional Background: 3 to 5 years of experience specifically within freight forwarding or logistics operations.
• Communication Style: Confident, proactive, and comfortable making direct phone calls to follow up with vendors or keep clients informed.
• Technical Skills: Tech-savvy with a natural ability to pick up new digital platforms quickly. Strong, rapid typing and data-entry skills are crucial.
• Personal Attributes: Highly organized, detail-driven, accountable, and eager to learn.
• Education: Minimum O-Levels, ITE, or Diploma in any discipline.
