We are seeking a highly motivated Individual Contributor conversant in Java to immediately accelerate the development of our software platform. This focused role is uniquely tailored for an early-career engineer who can combine standard Java development with autonomous research to seamlessly integrate Artificial Intelligence —specifically Edge-AI technologies — directly into our current local hardware and platform footprints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the software products using primarily Java.
• Independently research, prototype, and implement AI capabilities into the current platform, with a core focus on Edge-AI architectures.
• Optimize and deploy machine learning models to run efficiently under constrained resource conditions on edge devices.
• Be able to absorb quickly, research, and develop new features for the product as an individual contributor.
• Proficient in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase.
• Resolve bugs or issues identified.
• Ensure modifications of the product are tested thoroughly, covering functional aspects including exception scenarios and edge model fallback logic.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of related software development experience (Early-career bracket).
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a relevant qualification.
• Fresh graduates with stellar academic results, a strong portfolio of technical projects, and a highly resilient "can-do" attitude will be highly considered.
• Non-degree holders with an exceptional aptitude, strong self-taught discipline, and a proven portfolio in Java and edge deployments will also be considered.

Technical Skills

• Core Java knowledge or equivalent like C++, Python.
• Knowledge of databases like SQL, NoSQL, Big Data, etc.
• Knowledge of frameworks/libraries like Hibernate, JDBC, Swing, Spring, etc.
• Knowledge of wire formats like JSON, XML, etc.
• Familiarity with UI/UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD) and design principles.
• Knowledge of mobile app development, embedded environments, and related design patterns.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.) utilized for model training and asset pipelines.

• Positive with a "can-do" attitude and a high capacity for rapid learning.

Note

Starting salary will be commensurate with the candidate'sdepth of Java expertise and system architecture experience.
