At PizzaExpress, we pride ourselves on delivering a fantastic dining experience to our customers. We aim to provide exceptional service and delicious food in a warm and welcoming environment. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SOUS CHEF to join our vibrant team.
As Kitchen Crew, you will be using the best and freshest ingredients, producing great tasting food. Working in an open kitchen, you will play your part in creating a sociable atmosphere and memorable experience, with style and passion.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team during shifts.
Ensure all menu items are prepared according to PizzaExpress recipes and standards.
Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency.
Coordinate food preparation to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Monitor food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Assist with stock control, inventory management, ordering, and waste reduction.
Support menu implementation and cost-control initiatives.
Train, coach, and motivate kitchen team members.
Help achieve restaurant sales, operational, and customer satisfaction targets.
Help maintain a positive and energetic work atmosphere for the team.
Options for 5-day & 6-day work week are available
Skills & Requirements
Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, or senior kitchen supervisor.
Strong leadership and team-management skills.
Excellent food preparation and cooking skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Good communication and time-management skills.
Able to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Passion for hospitality and delivering high-quality food
