Safety Relief Engineering Coordinator
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
- Part of the Safety Relief department, Pressure Relief and Flare Center of Excellence. You will contribute in protecting our coworkers, communities, and environment by finding and mitigating overpressure risks in an open, innovative and collaborative environment with high quality, capital efficient safety relief review analyses.
- We are looking for an experienced individual who will play a key role in the technical preparation, design decisions we take.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead safety relief review (SRR) planning activities develop data collection plans ensure readiness for successful execution.
- Lead and coordinate collection, extraction, tracking, and quality review of SRR data, documentation, and engineering information required to support study execution.
- Monitor SRR planning progress and proactively identify, and address risks related to schedule, data availability, scope definition, and overall study readiness.
- Support preparation and execution of SRR Kickoff Meetings and ensure all planning deliverables and prerequisites are completed prior to study execution
- Conduct relief system analysis including safety relief reviews change management activities that include pressure safety valves (PSVs), pressure vacuum valves (PVVs) and blowdown system
- Oversee and validate the technical integrity of site safety relief assessments.
- Collaborate closely with other disciplines, partners and contractors in pursuit of efforts on the and manufacturing sites/assets supported.
- Identifies and develop opportunities to improve work processes, practices and tools.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related engineering specialty and/or hold other relevant industry experience
- Possess project coordination experience collaborating with multiple disciplines to successfully deliver projects and achieve targeted deadlines
- 3 years minimum experience in Process Design or Safety Relief
- Aware/familiar with the codes / standards such as API 520, API 521, API 526, API 2000, ASME Sec 8 is an added advantage
