A leading global financial services firm is seeking a Software Engineer (Python / Data Operations Engineering) to join its growing technology team in Singapore.

This is a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of software engineering, data platforms, automation, and operational excellence. You'll work on large-scale data ecosystems that support critical investment and business decisions, helping to improve reliability, observability, and efficiency across thousands of data workflows.

What You'll Be Doing

• Build and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for critical data platforms.
• Own data quality frameworks, anomaly detection processes, and operational tooling.
• Investigate data issues, perform root cause analysis, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Design and implement automation solutions that reduce operational overhead and improve platform resilience.
• Develop self-healing capabilities and intelligent support workflows.
• Standardise operational practices, tooling, and engineering frameworks across global teams.
• Use data and metrics to identify trends, measure system health, and prioritise improvements.
• Work closely with software engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders across multiple regions.

What We're Looking For

• Strong software engineering skills with experience in Python or another modern programming language.
• Passion for automation, platform engineering, and continuous improvement.
• Experience working with large-scale data environments and data processing technologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive them through to resolution.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with global teams.
• A proactive mindset with a desire to challenge the status quo and improve how things are done.
• Interest in applying AI and emerging technologies to operational workflows.
