Part-Time Software Developer (.NET / Angular) – Support & Maintenance

We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Software Developer to support and maintain an existing application. This position is suitable for a developer seeking a stable part-time engagement with flexible working arrangements.
If our project requirements increase, or if new projects arise, there may also be an opportunity to convert the position into a full-time role, subject to mutual agreement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide application support and maintenance for an existing application.
- Investigate and resolve reported system incidents, defects and technical issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes where required.
- Implement minor corrections and bug fixes that fall within the agreed Support and Maintenance scope. Chargeable Change Requests are excluded from the main job scope and may be offered separately.
- Maintain and enhance existing Angular and ASP.NET application components.
- Troubleshoot application, database, integration and cloud-environment issues.
- Prepare and execute SQL queries, data corrections and database scripts.
- Support application deployments, configuration changes and software releases.
- Perform system monitoring, security patching and dependency updates where required.
- Maintain technical documentation, deployment instructions and issue-resolution records.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, support team and end users to meet agreed service levels.
- Provide occasional support outside normal business hours for planned deployments or urgent production incidents, where necessary.
Additional Earnings from Change Requests
In addition to the monthly salary for the Support and Maintenance role, the successful candidate may have opportunities to earn additional income by implementing separately approved Change Requests (CRs).
CR implementation is not included in the candidate’s main Support and Maintenance responsibilities. Each CR will be offered as a separate, optional assignment based on its scope, complexity, schedule and commercial value.
Before work begins, NCODE and the candidate will agree on:
· The CR scope and deliverables
· The implementation schedule
· The candidate’s responsibilities
· The additional payment for completing the CR
The candidate may decide whether to accept each CR based on their interest, availability and technical suitability. Declining a CR will not affect their employment or responsibilities under the main Support and Maintenance role.
The amount payable will vary between CRs and will be communicated and agreed upon before the candidate accepts the assignment. This arrangement provides the candidate with the potential to earn additional income beyond the stated monthly salary.
Required Technical Skills
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Angular
- ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core
- Microsoft SQL Server and SQL
- AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
- Experience with REST APIs, system integrations and web application troubleshooting
- Familiarity with source control and release-management practices
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least two years of relevant software-development or application-support experience.
- Able to independently analyse and resolve application and database issues.
- Comfortable working with and maintaining an existing production system.
- Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Responsible, responsive and able to provide a consistent weekly work commitment.
- Able to attend occasional meetings or provide onsite support in Singapore when required.
- Must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident. Work-pass sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting business-critical enterprise applications.
- Experience working under a formal Support and Maintenance arrangement with incident priorities and response-time commitments.
- Knowledge of application security, cloud monitoring, deployment pipelines and software patching.
- Previous experience with government, statutory-board or enterprise systems.
- Experience with workflow-based business applications would be advantageous.
Working Arrangement
The expected commitment is approximately 25 hours per week.The working schedule will be subject to operational requirements, but will bemostly confined to daily working hours.
Some availability during normal Singapore business hourswill be required for meetings, user support and incident resolution.
