About the Role
At Pentamaster Corporation Berhad, we are looking for a passionate Optics & Photonics Engineer to design and develop cutting-edge optical solutions for advanced ATE (Automated Test Equipment) systems.
In this role, you will work on exciting technologies such as optical emitters, sensors, silicon photonics, co-packaged optics, and module burn-in systems, contributing directly to next-generation innovations in the photonics and semiconductor industries.

What You’ll Do

Design and develop optical and photonics modules based on customer requirements
and test specifications
Create and optimize optical lens systems for beam focusing, shaping, and coupling
performance
Collaborate closely with customers, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to ensure
successful and timely project delivery
Analyze and optimize test systems to improve manufacturing yield and product
performance
Troubleshoot and debug ATE system failures, perform root cause analysis, and
implement corrective actions
Conduct research, prototyping, and proof-of-concept development to drive
innovation and technical solutions
Lead or contribute to the full project lifecycle: planning, design, development,
validation, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Optics & Photonics or a related field
3–5 years of experience in optical design or a related field (fresh graduates with strong
fundamentals are encouraged to apply)
Hands-on experience with optical design & simulation tools (e.g., Zemax or
equivalent)
Familiarity with optical components and measurement instruments (light sources,
detectors, lenses, optical fibers)
