Responsibilities:

• Installing and maintaining Mechanical systems, equipment, and devices.
• Reading and understanding P&ID, general arrangement drawing, technical manual.
• Repairing or replacing equipment, fixtures, and mechanical parts.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
• Understand Mechanical Commissioning process and operation of machinery.
• Identifying faults in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to lift heavy components and work in challenging environments (e.g. confined spaces).
• Analysing equipment failures and determining effective, fast repairs.
• Good Attitude, Teamwork player. Problem-solving.
• Strict compliance with yard HSE and safety regulations, including
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Knowing how to operate, maintain and repair machinery, using technical tools, understanding engineering principles

Requirements:

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Technician in the marine, offshore, shipyard, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sector.
• Hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and machinery.
• Experience in mechanical commissioning, equipment alignment, function testing, and machinery start-up activities.
• Good understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including fault diagnosis and repair.
• Skilled in using mechanical hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and maintenance equipment.
• Good understanding of HSE requirements and strict compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and yard safety regulations.
• Willing to work at Tuas Boulevard Yard.
• Able to commence work on short notice or immediately preferred.
