Position Summary

Kodak Alaris is seeking a driven and technically capable Solution Sales Consultant / Sales Engineer to support the growth of Kodak Info Input (IDP) and Kodak Capture Pro across the APAC region. Sitting at the intersection of sales and pre-sales, this role is the technical and commercial backbone for the territory — enabling channel partners, supporting sales cycles, defining solution scopes, and building the kind of compelling demos and use cases that win deals and open new verticals.

This is a high-impact, highly collaborative role suited to someone who is equally comfortable presenting to a C-suite audience, configuring a proof-of-concept environment, and coaching a reseller's sales team on product messaging. A successful candidate has extensive experience supporting the sale and delivery of IDP and complex data capture solutions and can represent Kodak Alaris’s portfolio and point of view during the sales process.

The role holder will work in APAC region closely with the local Area Manager and Sales Director and Partners’ Sales teams to deliver the set business objectives. They will also work and liaise with the wider regional solutions team.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Support

  • Partner closely with the Area Manager and Sales Director to manage pipeline, track deal progression, and contribute to forecast accuracy through weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Support demand generation activities by translating technical product strengths into compelling commercial propositions.
  • Actively contribute to meeting and exceeding the regional revenue target by accelerating deal velocity and improving win rates.

Channel Enablement

  • Work with the channel partner ecosystem across the region to deliver product and sales training, ensuring partners are equipped to position, demonstrate, and sell Kodak Info Input and Kodak Capture Pro effectively.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, battlecards, and sales messaging toolkits tailored to the APAC market.
  • Act as the go-to technical and commercial resource for partner-facing escalations and opportunity support.

Pre-Sales & Solution Definition

  • Support the technical team in defining project scopes, structuring proposals, and estimating professional services efforts for customer engagements.
  • Conduct discovery conversations with prospects to map business requirements to Kodak Alaris solution capabilities.
  • Build and deliver the first layer of customer demos and Proof of Concept (PoC) environments, with escalation support from the technical team when required.

Product Positioning & Vertical Development

  • Support sales and marketing in delivering product positioning and tailored demonstrations aligned to key vertical use cases (e.g. financial services, healthcare, government, logistics).
  • Create, document, and brief the wider team on reusable use cases that accelerate deal cycles and support vertical penetration strategies.
  • Stay current on the IDP and intelligent document processing landscape to sharpen competitive positioning.

Internal Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as a bridge between sales, marketing, technical, and professional services teams — ensuring smooth handovers, clear documentation, and aligned messaging.
  • Produce clear, well-structured written materials including proposals, scope documents, demo scripts, and use case write-ups.
  • Represent the voice of the customer and the channel internally when shaping go-to-market priorities.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), document capture, and information management workflows.
  • Hands-on familiarity with workflow configuration and document capture platforms — experience with Kodak Capture Pro, Kodak Info Input, or comparable solutions (Kofax, ABBYY, OpenText, Ephesoft, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of high-level workflow design, business process automation concepts, and document routing logic.
  • Comfortable with database administration basics and understanding of back-end integrations (SQL, REST APIs, ECM/ERP connectors).
  • Ability to independently build and configure demo environments and proof-of-concept setups.
  • Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical degree preferred.

Sales & Commercial Skills

  • 5–8 years of experience in a sales, pre-sales, or solution consulting capacity within enterprise software, information management, or document processing.
  • Proven track record supporting or directly contributing to revenue targets in a channel-led or direct sales model.
  • Solid understanding of CRM tools (Salesforce or equivalent) for pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking.
  • Experience engaging with channel partners — training, enabling, and co-selling.

Soft Skills & Working Style

  • Highly organized — able to manage multiple concurrent opportunities, partners, and internal projects across a large, multi-time zone territory.
  • Strong communicator — clear, professional, and persuasive across written and verbal formats; equally effective with technical audiences, business stakeholders, and channel partners.
  • Team player — collaborative by nature, with a genuine commitment to shared team success over individual recognition.
  • Documentation discipline — takes pride in well-structured, accurate, and actionable written output.
  • Self-starter who can operate with autonomy while staying closely aligned with team priorities

Territory Coverage

Primary:

  • Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam), Hong Kong

Adjacent support:

  • As required and in coordination with the Area Manager & Sales Director
  • This role requires regular travel within the region and the ability to work across multiple time zones.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

  • Channel partners across the region are actively trained, enabled, and generating qualified pipeline for Kodak Info Input and Capture Pro.
  • A library of vertical-specific use cases and demo environments is built and being actively used in sales cycles.
  • Revenue forecasts are consistently accurate, and the region is tracking to plan.
  • The sales and technical teams describe this person as their most reliable bridge between commercial opportunity and technical delivery.
