The incumbent will oversee the strategic establishment and operational development of the research programme which focuses on mental health, behavioural health, and population health. The role encompasses comprehensive programme management, stakeholder coordination, operational excellence to drive the successful implementation of the programme

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive and manage projects in programme from start to end and shepherd the programme teams through the programme lifecycle.

• Understand user requirements to determine the type of resources, budget and expertise required to aid project teams throughout the programme lifecycle.

• Assist in process study, functional and business analysis to develop and refine programme requirements.

• Plan, organize and track programme timelines to ensure good progress and highlight to management any potential delays.

• Coordinate and oversee cross-functional resources to ensure a high functioning team whereby resources that are required adequately allocated.

• Conduct risk assessment to identify potential problems and devise contingency plans to minimize risks.

• Drive and maintain programme administration and documentation including reports and budget utilisation.

• Review journals, abstracts and scientific literature to keep abreast of new developments and to obtain information regarding previous studies to aid in the planning of new studies.

• Maintains programme related finances and progress reports. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Responsible for the maintenance of database and statistical support.

• Confers with principal investigator in developing plans for research projects and to discuss the interpretation of results; collaborate on the preparation of manuscripts for publication.

Responsible for the communication with project sponsors, internal and external stakeholders and the provision of timely updates to Principal Investigators, Research Office and Senior leadership.

• Participate in quality improvement activities.

• Education, Training and Experience

  
  Preferably postgraduate degree in Life Science with at least 3 years’ relevant experience and 2 years’ managerial / supervisory experience. Team work, management and Ph.D is advantage.
  
  The candidate must be matured, able to think critically, and is sensitive to cross-cultural values and trustworthiness.
  Prior experience in handling research related activities and research grants.
  
  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  Familiarity with research methodologies, statistics and handling basic lab equipment is highly desirable. Experience in and familiarity with local healthcare system would be an advantage.
