Key Responsibilities

• Source and develop new suppliers, especially China-based suppliers, for raw materials, components, and finished goods.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and material requirements to ensure correct sourcing of items.
• Identify suitable suppliers and evaluate supplier capability, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Communicate and coordinate with suppliers regarding quotations, product specifications, delivery schedules, and quality requirements.
• Support supplier evaluation, qualification, and onboarding processes.
• Conduct quotation comparison, cost analysis, and negotiation to achieve cost-effective procurement solutions.
• Maintain accurate supplier records, pricing information, and product specifications.
• Issue purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance and support supplier improvement activities.
• Support import/export documentation and purchasing-related processes.
• Coordinate with internal departments including Engineering, Quality, Production, Logistics, and Warehouse.
• Handle online purchasing activities and supplier platforms when required.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, purchasing policies, and quality standards.
• Prepare purchasing reports, documentation, and supplier evaluation records.
• Perform other duties and projects assigned by superior.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 year of working experience in Purchasing, Sourcing, Procurement, or related field.
• Candidates with experience in sourcing and procurement activities are preferred.
• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
• Experience dealing with China-based suppliers is highly preferred.
• Ability to communicate with China-based suppliers for sourcing, quotation, and negotiation activities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Good knowledge of sourcing processes, supplier evaluation, and procurement activities.
• Basic knowledge of Incoterms, import/export procedures, and inventory management is an advantage.
• Familiar with MS Office applications and purchasing documentation.
• Able to review engineering drawings and understand material specifications is an added advantage.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willing to work overtime when required.

Pay: From RM3,000.00 per month
