About the Role

Senior Software/ Software Engineer (Automation and Control, PLC, Machine Programming).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for automated equipment
• Maintain, review and improve legacy codes
• Troubleshoot issues with existing installed systems
• Write user manuals to describe the functionality of the developed programs
• Liaise with the customer on requirements and create specifications based on these requirements

Qualifications

• Degree/diploma in Electrical/Electronic engineering/Computer science or related discipline
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the automation industry

Required Skills

• Proficient in PC based programming (e.g. Visual C#)
• Familiar with PLC programming (e.g. Omron/Beckhoff) or other machine programming software
• Familiar with various Motion Controllers/Actuators (e.g. IAI, AD Link) is a plus
• Familiar with vision systems (e.g. Cognex) is a plus
• Willing to learn and adapt a new technology quickly
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer site
