Job Summary

GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is looking for an experienced and motivated Supervisor – Sushi Department to support the daily operations of the Sushi Department. The successful candidate will supervise the sushi team, ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation, maintain inventory accuracy and deliver excellent customer service while achieving departmental sales and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader in managing the daily operations of the Sushi Department.
• Supervise and support the sushi team to ensure efficient daily operations and excellent customer service.
• Prepare, assemble and present sushi products in accordance with company recipes, quality standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure all sushi products are fresh, safe for consumption and displayed attractively.
• Monitor product quality, freshness and expiry dates throughout the day.
• Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles.
• Assist in inventory management, stock ordering, receiving and replenishment of raw materials.
• Monitor food costs, minimise wastage and reduce shrinkage.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
• Train and coach team members on sushi preparation, food handling, customer service and company SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the sushi preparation area, equipment and utensils.
• Handle customer enquiries, special requests and complaints professionally.
• Assist in preparing staff duty rosters and monitor attendance and productivity.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Team Leader, Store Manager or Management.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,902.61 per month

Experience:

• Retail sales: 1 year (Preferred)
