Your new role

As an Automation Engineer, you will:

• Develop and maintain PLC-based automation systems.
• Configure HMI and SCADA platforms for monitoring and control.
• Support system integration, FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot PLC, electrical and instrumentation faults.
• Optimise system performance and implement technical improvements.
• Support control panel design, I/O allocation and component selection.
• Configure industrial communication networks including Modbus, Profinet and OPC UA.
• Prepare technical documentation and support project delivery activities.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or similar.
• Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
• Knowledge of Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider or similar PLC platforms.
• Experience with commissioning, testing and troubleshooting activities.
• Familiarity with HMI/SCADA platforms and industrial communication protocols.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Exposure to marine, industrial, manufacturing or process environments is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
