Your new role
As an Automation Engineer, you will:
- Develop and maintain PLC-based automation systems.
- Configure HMI and SCADA platforms for monitoring and control.
- Support system integration, FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot PLC, electrical and instrumentation faults.
- Optimise system performance and implement technical improvements.
- Support control panel design, I/O allocation and component selection.
- Configure industrial communication networks including Modbus, Profinet and OPC UA.
- Prepare technical documentation and support project delivery activities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or similar.
- Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
- Knowledge of Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider or similar PLC platforms.
- Experience with commissioning, testing and troubleshooting activities.
- Familiarity with HMI/SCADA platforms and industrial communication protocols.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Exposure to marine, industrial, manufacturing or process environments is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
