Job Summary

The IT Lead serves as the technical authority and primary IT representative on projects spanning applications and infrastructure. This role leads virtual, cross-functional teams in dynamic, multi-regional environments, providing technical direction and ensuring alignment with organizational standards and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional technical IT teams across applications, infrastructure, security, and integration to deliver cohesive IT solutions aligned with project goals.
• Provide clear technical direction and make informed decisions in evolving or ambiguous project environments to ensure progress and quality.
• Act as the primary IT technical liaison for projects managed by geographically distributed, virtual teams to facilitate communication and collaboration.
• Drive alignment across technical teams to ensure coherent end-to-end IT solution delivery that meets business and technical requirements.
• Rapidly understand, adopt, and apply internal IT standards, governance processes, and architectural principles to projects execution.
• Identify, assess, and manage technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies, escalating issues appropriately to mitigate impact.
• Ensure IT solutions comply with security, compliance, and supportability requirements and are prepared for smooth operational handover.
• Represent IT confidently in project governance forums and senior stakeholder discussions to influence decisions and provide updates.
• Build trust and establish effective working relationships quickly with global, virtual teams to foster collaboration and productivity.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving, decision-making, and project coordination skills to drive initiatives independently and deliver results.

Required competencies and certifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud architecture, including design, implementation, and management of cloud-based solutions.
• Proven ability to manage both infrastructure and application delivery projects from planning through execution and successful delivery.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience acting as a technical lead for IT teams on projects and initiatives.
• Proven experience coordinating multiple technical disciplines including applications, infrastructure, security, and vendors.
• Experience working with global or multi-regional teams.
• Exposure to enterprise IT governance and delivery frameworks.
• Broad understanding of enterprise IT environments, including applications, infrastructure, integration, and security.
• Familiarity with matrixed organizations and complex stakeholder environments.
• Awareness of service readiness, handover, and long-term support considerations.
