Position Summary
Act as the key interface between field installation teams and back-office engineering teams, specializing in installation, testing and commissioning. Ensure engineering issues are identified, communicated, resolved and implemented in accordance with protocols while supporting installation, commissioning and as-built documentation activities.
Key requirement
- Interface between engineering and construction teams.
- Identify engineering gaps, clashes and constructability issues.
- Support technical queries, design modifications, NCRs and change management.
- Review BIM models and identify installation conflicts.
- Support electrical installation activities in shipyard.
- Hands-on experience to prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRA) and to manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) applications.
- Experience in Installation of Transformers, Switchgears and other related equipment.
- Travel to Batam for knowledge transfer across other HVDC projects.
- Support offshore commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
- Transfer red-line markups to engineering team for final as-built drawings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 4+ years combined engineering and field installation experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical drawings, cable routing and installation practices.
- Experience interfacing engineering and field teams.
- Experience in Distribution Transformer Commissioning (1 MVA to 33 MVA)
- Experience in Power Transformer Installation and Commissioning (up to 100 MVA)
Technical Skills
- AutoCAD proficiency.
- Engineering change management.
- Electrical installation and commissioning knowledge.
- Documentation and as-built management.
Travel Requirements
- Regular travel to Batam and offshore locations as required.
