Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled, proactive, anddetail-oriented IT Support & Systems Administrator to join ourgrowing technology team. In this dual role, you will be the backbone of ourdaily technical operations. You will be responsible for providing top-tierdesktop support to our local and remote employees while managing, maintaining,and securing our internal IT infrastructure, servers, and network systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Support & Helpdesk Management
- End-User Support: Provide timely and effective Tier 1 to Tier 3 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues (in-person and remote).
- SLA Management: Log, track, and resolve IT incidents and service requests using our ticketing system, ensuring compliance with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Asset Management: Manage the IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, provisioning, inventory tracking, and secure disposal of laptops, peripherals, and software licenses.
- Onboarding/Offboarding: Handle the technical onboarding of new hires (provisioning laptops, setting up accounts, access control) and secure offboarding processes.
2. Systems & Network Administration
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor, maintain, and optimize local office networks (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, firewalls) and server infrastructure.
- Cloud & Identity Management: Administer cloud environments and identity providers, specifically Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace and Active Directory (Azure AD/Entra ID).
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Execute and test regular data backups. Ensure system redundancy and rapid recovery capabilities in line with company policies.
- Patch Management: Ensure all endpoints, servers, and network devices are regularly updated with the latest security patches and firmware.
3. Security & Compliance
- Endpoint Security: Deploy and manage antivirus, anti-malware, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions across all corporate devices.
- Access Control: Maintain strict adherence to the principle of least privilege, conducting regular access audits.
- Compliance: Assist in enforcing IT security policies and aligning infrastructure with global standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Competencies
- Operating Systems: Deep expertise in Windows 10/11, Windows Server (2019/2022), and macOS. Familiarity with Linux is a strong plus.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and firewall configuration (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco, Sophos).
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS, or Azure.
- MDM Tools: Experience managing endpoints using MDM solutions like Microsoft Intune, Jamf, or Kandji.
Soft Skills & Experience
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of proven experience in an IT Support and/or Systems Administrator role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or ITIL Foundation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
