Our client is a global semiconductor equipment technology company with operations spanning Asia, the US, and Europe. Singapore serves as a regional base for the business, working closely with engineering teams overseas on equipment design and delivery.

The business is in growth mode, and this hire is a critical one — with the team keen to get the right technical fit in place quickly.

About the Role

This is an opportunity for an senior/staff electrical design engineer who wants true ownership of the schematic design lifecycle, not a slice of it.

• Own electrical and PCB schematic design end-to-end — from concept through to production handover
• Work closely with mechanical and systems engineering teams on equipment builds
• Coordinate directly with engineering counterparts overseas, including in China
• Bring design rigour and structure to a growing technical team
• Mentor junior engineers as the team scales

This is a hands-on design seat with a genuine path toward a Team Lead / Manager scope for the right person.

Job Requirements

• A genuine background in electrical and PCB schematic design — this is core to the role, not adjacent to it. Candidates from an electronics or firmware background will not be a fit
• Prior experience in semiconductor equipment, precision machine building, or related industrial equipment design strongly preferred
• Mandarin language proficiency required, to support coordination with overseas engineering counterparts
• Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving technical environment without heavy structure around you
• Team lead or mentoring experience an advantage, though not required
