Position Summary:

The Web Developer is responsible for designing developing and maintaining websites. This role combines full-stack web development expertise with specialized WordPress development including theme, plugin development, performance optimization and custom integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, test, and deploy responsive WordPress sites.

- Build and customize WordPress themes and plugins based on business requirements.

- Convert UI/UX designs and wireframes into functional and optimized interfaces.

- Integrate third-party APIs and services.

- Optimize websites and applications for performance, security, and SEO.

- Troubleshoot, debug and maintain both WordPress and custom web systems.

- Ensure cross-browser, cross-device compatibility and accessibility compliance.

- Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code.

- Maintain security standards, manage updates and perform regular system maintenance.

- Collaborate with other teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Technical Skills:

Front-End:

- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript

- Responsive design principles

- CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap)

Back-End:

- PHP

- Database systems (MySQL)

WordPress Specific:

- WordPress core architecture, hooks, and coding standards

- Custom Post Types (CPT) and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)

- Page builders: Elementor, WPBakery, Avada (as needed)

Other Skills (Optional to Include if Relevant):

- Git version control

- Web performance optimization tools

- Hosting environments and deployment workflows

- SEO best practices

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in web development, preferably with WordPress projects.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
• Familiar with PHP and MySQL for basic back-end development.
• Experience working with WordPress, including theme customization and plugin usage.
• Familiarity with Custom Post Types (CPT) and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of website optimization, SEO fundamentals, and web security practices.
• Willing to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin and English

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
