Full Time Business Development - Sales Support Mgr Jobs, in Zurich Insurance Kuala Lumpur - Ricebowl

Purpose

To provide operational management of the strategy and Sales function to ensure delivery across all regions and segments to grow revenue and profit and to drive genuine and consistent sales excellence.

Key Accountabilities

• To ensure the Sales function meets all internal and external governance and regulatory requirements and have in place a robust first line of defense that demonstrates effective controls and best practice.
• To build strong relationships, share insight and ensure all key accountabilities are met in order to learn and improve as a business.
• Leadership accountability for the Sales Operations team, working alongside Heads of Sales, Sales Managers and sales force across all Segments.
• Effective execution of sales strategy by working in collaboration with Sales Leaders to build a high performance culture ensuring our people are engaged and motivated in order to develop our expertise.
• Build consistency across all segments to ensure achievement of genuine sales excellence.
• Responsibility for regulatory, compliance and governance frameworks by facilitating and driving implementation of General Insurance and regulatory governance.
• Takes an overview of Sales related work streams and projects and takes responsibility for delivering key components and achievement of success criteria and commercial measures.
• Delivery of Sales Management Information to ensure clarity in performance across various metrics in line with objectives and targets and business plans.
• Play a key role in the Sales Leaders meetings and peer review with a focus on best practice, building expertise, team performance, personal development, succession planning and compliance.
• Lead and drive agency recruitment strategies to achieve manpower growth targets across all distribution channels and segments.
• Develop and execute recruitment initiatives, campaigns and activation programmes to attract high-quality candidates into the agency force.
• Design, implement and manage recruitment scheme packages, incentive programmes and onboarding support to improve recruitment productivity, activation and retention of new agents.
• Collaborate closely with Heads of Sales, Sales Managers and Agency Leaders to identify recruitment opportunities, build candidate pipelines and achieve agreed recruitment KPIs.
• Monitor recruitment performance, licensing progression and activation rates, providing insights and recommendations to improve recruitment effectiveness and quality.
• Drive new agent onboarding, licensing and early-stage productivity programmes to ensure successful transition from recruitment to active production.
• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with universities, professional associations, corporate organisations and referral networks to strengthen recruitment channels and employer branding.
• Support the development of future agency leaders through structured talent identification, succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
• Ensure all recruitment activities, campaigns and schemes comply with internal governance, regulatory requirements and industry guidelines.
• Leverage recruitment analytics and management information to measure recruitment outcomes, identify trends and support data-driven decision-making.
