As the Associate, HSE, you will be in charge of overseeing the organization’s HSE Management System by managing HSE administrative processes, identifying training needs, designing and conducting training effectively, and using a range of HSE tools and resources to implement HSE programs and drive compliance

• HSE Compliance – Coordinates HSE management systems to ensure compliance with country / regional HSE regulations, Alcon internal policies and procedures. Maintain continual improvement and meet corporate KPIs for HSE statistics.
• Maintain and coordinate routine HSE activities, such as industrial hygiene monitoring, waste disposal, recycling, safety inspections, safety induction trainings, healthy lifestyle activities, etc.
• Provide input and guidance in facility, process, and/or equipment design reviews for safety & environmental considerations.
• Provide information to business unit management and other customers on safety, security & environmental priorities and risks, performance and interpretation of regulatory requirements
• Assist the site in budgeting for HSE activities.
• Carry out FSM duties
• Job-related duties as assigned by the HSE Manager.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Degree in a Science or Engineering area, preferably in a specialized safety, health, or environmental related
• Min 2-3 yrs in HSE Regulatory, auditing, incident investigation
• Experience in hazard analysis & industrial hygiene would be preferred
• Manufacturing experience not a must but would be highly advantageous
