About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Inspector of Works (IOW) to supervise and inspect construction activities for STP & Piping projects, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team, consultants, and contractors to ensure compliance throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor site activities to ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with quality standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct routine site inspections and report any non-conformance or defects to the Project Manager and relevant parties.
• Verify workmanship, materials, and installation methods before and during construction.
• Witness site tests, inspections, and commissioning activities when required.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on site progress and quality matters.
• Coordinate with contractors, site supervisors, and consultants to resolve technical and quality issues.
• Maintain proper inspection records, reports, site diaries, and documentation.
• Monitor rectification works and ensure defects are addressed promptly.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and project requirements at all times.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Inspector of Works, Site Supervisor, or in a similar role within construction projects.
• Experience in STP, sewerage, piping, or infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, quality control procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently, responsible, and possess good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail with good organisational and time management skills.
