Job Summary

Responsible for preparing accurate CNC nesting layouts and cutting instructions to maximise material utilisation, minimise scrap and support an efficient production process.

Job Description

• Prepare CNC nesting layouts according to the production schedule planned by the CNC Planner.
• Arrange and optimise parts on steel plates based on their size, shape and required quantity.
• Maximise steel plate utilisation and minimise material wastage and scrap.
• Prepare detailed cutting instructions, specifications and cutting parameters.
• Ensure cutting parameters and guidelines are compatible with the relevant cutting machines.
• Work closely with design engineers and production personnel to understand product requirements.
• Ensure drawings, nesting layouts and production requirements are properly aligned.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances and cutting quality before production.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all nesting and cutting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve material utilisation, production efficiency and cutting productivity.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the Section Head.

Job Requirements

• Minimum SPM, certificate, diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience, preferably in the manufacturing or engineering industry.
• Familiarity with laser cutting, waterjet cutting, CNC machining or other related cutting processes.
• Knowledge of CNC nesting processes and material optimisation.
• Basic understanding of materials and their properties, particularly steel and other metals.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
• Proficient in nesting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Good attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Able to work closely with design, planning and production teams.
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge may be considered.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
