BMS Project Engineer

About the Role

Comnect Communications Pte Ltd is looking for a motivated BMS Project Engineer to join our growing Building Management System (BMS) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating BMS installation works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Study and interpret BMS drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Plan and coordinate BMS installation works from project commencement to completion.
• Prepare work schedules and allocate manpower efficiently.
• Supervise and coordinate site teams carrying out control cabling, field device installation, cable termination, and panel connections.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
• Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and technical discussions.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical and installation issues.
• Ensure installation works comply with project specifications, safety requirements, and industry standards.
• Monitor project progress and report updates to management.
• Coordinate material deliveries and ensure sufficient materials are available for site works.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project handover documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in BMS, ELV, controls, or building automation projects.
• Able to read and understand electrical schematics and BMS drawings.
• Good understanding of BMS control cabling, I/O termination, field devices, and control panels.
• Familiar with AutoCAD drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently while managing multiple projects.
• Possess a Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.

Experience with any of the following BMS platforms is an advantage:

• Siemens Desigo
• Honeywell
• Johnson Controls
• Schneider Electric
• Delta Controls
• Tridium Niagara
