Lead and manage New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from prototype development through full production ramp-up, ensuring successful transition into the manufacturing environment.
Drive product readiness by collaborating with R&D, NPI, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, quality, and other cross-functional teams to ensure products meet design for manufacturability (DFM), design for excellence (DFX), quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Influence product design decisions to improve manufacturability, reliability, scalability, and alignment with global supply chain requirements.
Support product transfer activities, including transferring products and manufacturing processes from other locations into the Penang manufacturing site.
Manage the complete product life cycle transition, including prototype evaluation, production qualification, manufacturing process readiness, and sustaining activities.
Work closely with R&D and NPI teams to ensure DFX Scorecard requirements are achieved before and after SHP checkpoints prior to production release.
Assess prototype reliability and manufacturing readiness, identifying potential risks and driving corrective actions to ensure smooth production launch.
Partner with procurement, planning, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to improve and sustain product performance, manufacturing processes, and operational efficiency.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and/or contract manufacturers to ensure delivery of agreed project milestones, product performance, cost targets, and business objectives.
Collaborate with suppliers to achieve goals related to cost, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement of parts and materials.
Support and manage ERP-related activities, including bill of materials (BOM), routing, and manufacturing data accuracy where required.
Drive structured project execution by translating broad business strategies into actionable project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Identify project risks, resolve complex technical and operational challenges, and provide effective solutions for high-impact product development and manufacturing issues.
Support business integration activities for newly acquired companies into Keysight’s manufacturing and operational environment where required.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or related technical fields.
Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience, preferably within an MNC environment and in wireless, telecommunications, electronics, semiconductor, or high-tech manufacturing industries.
Proven experience managing New Product Introduction (NPI), product transfer, manufacturing transition, and product life cycle management.
Strong project leadership skills with the ability to drive cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with global stakeholders across different geographical locations.
Experience working with third-party vendors, suppliers, and/or contract manufacturers to achieve project deliverables, product performance, cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain operations, product development lifecycle, and production readiness requirements.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks and meeting business objectives.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with excellent project planning, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical and business challenges and drive effective solutions.
Candidates with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management qualification will be an added advantage
