Role Description The Mechanical Designer at Estek Automation will be responsible for designing mechanical components and systems that support vision inspection and handling solutions. Day-to-day tasks include creating detailed technical drawings, developing machine designs, preparing CAD models and assemblies, and collaborating with engineers and R&D teams to refine concepts and prototypes. The role also involves reviewing designs for manufacturability, reliability, and safety, as well as supporting documentation and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Batu Kawan.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Technical Drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for creating detailed mechanical layouts and assemblies.
• Hands-on experience with Machine Design and Mechanical Engineering principles for automation or industrial equipment.
• Exposure to Research and Development (R&D), including concept development, prototyping, and design optimization.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Ability to interpret engineering standards and specifications, and apply them to practical design solutions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including engineers and project managers.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality in design work.
• Experience in automation, robotics, or vision inspection systems is an added advantage.
