Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is looking for an Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join their team. This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for strengthening enterprise security operations, managing security technologies, and driving continuous improvements across managed security services.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain and enhance enterprise managed security services and security platforms.
• Implement, configure and optimise security controls across infrastructure, cloud, applications and identity environments.
• Manage and support security technologies including SIEM, WAF, IDS/IPS, Email Security, Endpoint Security and Vulnerability Management.
• Monitor security events, support incident response and continuously improve security controls.
• Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and platform performance.
• Support security projects, AI security initiatives and continuous improvement across the cybersecurity environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity Operations, Security Engineering, Managed Security Services or Infrastructure Security.
• Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, WAF, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Security, Vulnerability Management or Cloud Security.
• Good understanding of security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management and security best practices.
• Experience with scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell or Bash is an advantage.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. Relevant cybersecurity certifications are a plus.
