WHO WE ARE

Specialist Risk Group (SRG) is a people and culture-led specialist insurance intermediary, backed by world-renowned investors Temasek and Warburg Pincus. We focus on areas of insurance where deep expertise matters most, delivering tailored solutions for complex and often underserved risks across Asia and internationally. Our teams combine strong market knowledge of our region with access to the wider capabilities of the Group internationally.

At SRG, we are building a business we are proud of, defined by specialist thinking, collaboration and a commitment to doing difficult things well. Our approach is deliberately personal and hands-on, shaped by people who understand their markets and take responsibility for delivering the right outcomes.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

We are seeking a proactive and service-oriented Helpdesk Support professional to provide day-to-day IT support to our users. This role is key in ensuring smooth IT operations, resolving issues efficiently, and delivering a reliable and high-quality user experience across the business.

ABOUT YOU

You are a hands-on IT support professional with a strong customer-service mindset. You enjoy troubleshooting, take ownership of issues, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where responsiveness and reliability are key.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 end-user IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, and access-related issues; independently resolve standard incidents and escalate complex problems where required.
  • Collaborate closely with regional leadership, international teams, and headquarters, ensuring alignment with global IT standards, policies, and strategic direction.
  • Provide support for office IT infrastructure, including network connectivity (LAN/Wi-Fi), printers, meeting room technology, and telephony systems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Assist with basic infrastructure and system administration tasks, including Active Directory, user permissions, and endpoint management, in collaboration with the wider IT team.
  • Log, prioritise, track, and resolve incidents and service requests through the helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring timely updates and clear communication with users.
  • Take ownership of issues from initial diagnosis through to resolution, coordinating with international IT teams or vendors where escalation is necessary.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and support services, ensuring timely resolution and quality delivery.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including user account provisioning, access management, and end-user device setup in line with security and compliance standards.
  • Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and standard business applications, ensuring a consistent and reliable user experience.
  • Monitor and ensure incidents and requests are resolved within agreed SLAs, maintaining accurate documentation, asset records, and knowledge base articles.
  • Contribute to IT projects and initiatives, including system rollouts, office setup, integration activities, and continuous improvement efforts across the region.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve IT support processes, user experience, and operational efficiency, contributing to the continuous enhancement of IT services.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in IT Helpdesk / Service Desk / Desktop Support.
  • Experience in supporting Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Freshservice).
  • Exposure to Active Directory, user account management, and basic networking.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills with ability to explain technical issues clearly.
  • Customer-focused with a proactive and “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Team player with willingness to learn and support wider IT initiatives.

Why Join Us: Joining SRG means becoming part of an ambitious, growing organisation that invests seriously in its people. We create opportunities for colleagues to deepen their expertise, broaden their experience, and grow their careers across regions and specialisms. If you are motivated by complex challenges, value strong relationships and want to be part of a business built for the long term, SRG offers the opportunity to grow alongside us.
