Job Summary
The internship Interior Design is to support project teams in design development, documentation, research, and project coordination activities. This internship provides hands-on exposure to interior design processes, including concept development, 2D/3D design production, material sourcing, and site coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Production Support
- Assist in preparing 2D drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and sections.
- Support the development of 3D digital models and visual presentations for design concepts.
- Prepare mood boards, material palettes, colour schemes, and design references.
- Incorporate design revisions and updates based on feedback from senior designers.
Research & Material Sourcing
- Conduct research and assist in sourcing furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), finishes, and interior materials.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of physical and digital material libraries.
- Liaise with vendors to gather product information, samples, and design specifications.
Project Coordination & Site Support
- Assist senior designers during site visits, including measurements, documentation, and progress photography.
- Support project meetings by recording key discussion points and design decisions.
- Assist with general project coordination and administrative tasks.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent tools.
- Strong interest in interior design, space planning, and design development.
- Good attention to detail, creativity, and willingness to learn.
- Able to work collaboratively in a project-based environment.
