Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead and manage project execution from the inspection stage until project completion. The role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered according to client requirements, within approved budget, timeline, quality standards, and safety requirements.

The Construction Manager will be the key person responsible for coordinating with clients, main contractors, specialist consultants, and internal project teams to ensure effective project planning, execution, and successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish project objectives, scope, and requirements together with clients and project stakeholders.
• Prepare project briefs and develop project execution plans.
• Develop, coordinate, and monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Manage and supervise construction activities carried out by main contractors, subcontractors, and specialist consultants.
• Coordinate project contracts administration and ensure works are executed according to specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Conduct regular project progress monitoring and attend meetings with clients, contractors, consultants, and relevant parties.
• Identify potential delays, project risks, and provide corrective actions to achieve project targets.
• Monitor project budget, cost performance, and approved project expenditure.
• Review project variations, progress claims, and coordinate preparation of final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety & Environmental (QSE) requirements and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with ABMS Procedures, ABAC Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction/project management.
• Proven experience managing construction projects from planning stage to completion.
• Strong knowledge in project coordination, construction processes, contract administration, scheduling, and cost control.
• Experience working with clients, main contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and site operations effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in commercial building, interior fit-out, M&E, or large-scale construction projects will be an advantage.
• Familiar with project documentation, progress reporting, variation orders, and final account settlement.
• Able to lead project teams and work under tight project deadlines.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
