Job Responsibilities
- Run compliance checks against corporate, legal guidelines and destination ocean specific SOP.
- Run compliance check against destination country ocean freight SOP.
- Ensure valid quotation are in place and compliant with company policy.
- Align with branch head, commercial team and trade team over special requests or requirements from customer that is not previously addressed.
- Continuously obtain and maintain adequate shipping volume forecast information from Shipper and destination office.
- Request update from Master Data Management for any system maintenance and updates.
- Align with relevant stakeholders on the volume forecast information such as Shared Service Centre and Trade Management/LCL Trade/Reefer Trade and destination office as applicable.
- Ensure carrier options and carrier service contract are available for shipments and align with Trade Management, LCL Trade Management and Reefer Trade management and destination office as applicable.
- Handle continuous pre-shipment status follow-up with Shipper and inform Destination office and relevant stakeholders - as applicable.
- Receive booking request from Shipper or Destination Office and verify booking requests against customer service agreements, customer contracts and current market conditions.
- Capture booking requests in TANGO for file creation, routing, and documentations.
- Request and relay Verified Gross Mass (VGM) details and pickup instructions between shippers and operational teams.
- Facilitate communication between customers, customs teams, and internal ocean function departments to ensure smooth shipment flow and arrangements.
- Proactively keep customers and stakeholders updated on the shipment arrangements and propose alternate solutions to customer is required.
- Ensure the shipment arrangements are in accordance with local regulations, company policy and compliance.
- Monitor shipment profitability and ensure accurate creation of income reserves and cost accruals in TANGO.
- Initiate credit checks for shippers and coordinate with the Finance Team to resolve credit issues.
- Generate operational reports for customers and ensure compliance with specific KPI requirements.
Requirements
- At least two (2) years of work experiences in logistics, freight forwarding and transportation industry.
- Diploma/bachelor’s degree holders in relevant fields are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity and knowledge in ocean freight operations and supply chain concept is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-[aced customer oriented logistics environment.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be advantageous.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
