Role Description This full-time HVAC Engineer role is an on-site position based in Kota Kinabalu. The HVAC Engineer will design, review, and optimize HVAC systems for marine and related facilities, ensuring compliance with safety, performance, and regulatory standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing HVAC layouts and specifications, producing and updating CAD drawings, and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors on technical requirements. The role also involves overseeing installation, performing diagnostics, and conducting maintenance and repair activities to ensure reliable operation of HVAC equipment. The HVAC Engineer will prepare technical reports, support project planning, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and solutions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in HVAC Engineering and HVAC system analysis.
- Candidates should possess skills in HVAC Design and system configuration for marine or industrial environments.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of general HVAC principles and applications.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for engineering drawings and documentation.
- Candidates should possess practical skills in Maintenance & Repair of HVAC equipment and related systems.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience with maritime or industrial projects, including field work and on-site installations, is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret technical standards, work safely in operational environments, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
