The System Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of various electronic and building systems. The role requires strong technical skills, the ability to diagnose faults, and excellent customer service while ensuring all work complies with company procedures and Singapore safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning
- Install, configure, and commission system equipment according to project requirements.
- Perform site wiring, cable termination, and equipment installation.
- Conduct functional testing and system verification before handover.
- Ensure installations meet quality and safety standards.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on installed systems.
- Diagnose and repair system faults efficiently.
- Replace defective components and carry out necessary repairs.
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergency breakdowns.
Technical Support
- Provide on-site technical support to customers.
- Assist engineers in system integration and programming.
- Update firmware and software when required.
- Support system upgrades and modification works.
Documentation
- Complete service reports, maintenance records, and testing documents.
- Prepare daily work reports and submit completed job sheets.
- Maintain accurate records of spare parts and tools used.
- Assist in preparing technical documentation.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations in Singapore.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
- Maintain housekeeping standards at work sites.
- Comply with company quality management procedures.
