Responsibilities

Avaloq Developer role focused on Wealth Management domain.

Required Skills

  • Design, develop, and enhance software solutions using Avaloq, Oracle PL/SQL, and related technologies to support business and platform capabilities.
  • Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality technical solutions.
  • Work on mission-critical banking systems in large IT environments with strong exposure to batch processing and support models.
  • Develop and maintain applications using Oracle PL/SQL, Avaloq scripting, and core banking platforms (e.g., Avaloq, Finacle, T24, BaNCS).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Follow Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile practices for efficient delivery.
  • Ensure code quality through code reviews, adherence to best practices, and promoting knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Apply secure coding standards and risk control practices to protect sensitive data and ensure system integrity.
  • Implement unit testing and ensure code reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Utilize tools such as UNIX, SVN, JIRA, Confluence, Visio, ServiceNow, and Agile Central in development and support activities.
  • Maintain strong functional knowledge of banking domains such as trading, payments, settlements, corporate actions, and credit.
  • Continuously stay updated with industry trends, innovations, and contribute to technical excellence within the organization.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills while handling complex technical challenges.
  • Take ownership of deliverables, ensure compliance with policies, manage risks, and support continuous process improvements.
  • Act as a key contributor or leader by mentoring team members, collaborating across teams, influencing decisions, and effectively communicating with stakeholders.
