About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems that power large-scale applications. You will work on distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and high-throughput services while collaborating closely with Product, Infrastructure, Data, and Engineering teams to deliver reliable and efficient platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, low-latency backend services using languages such as Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
- Build and optimize distributed systems, APIs, data processing pipelines, and event-driven architectures to support large-scale applications.
- Improve system performance by profiling, tuning, and optimizing latency, throughput, memory utilization, and overall application efficiency.
- Design and implement reliable messaging and streaming solutions using technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, RocketMQ, or similar platforms.
- Develop secure, highly available, and fault-tolerant backend systems that support business-critical applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and continuously improve system reliability and operational stability.
- Participate in system architecture design, technical discussions, and code reviews to promote engineering best practices.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, Infrastructure Engineers, Data Engineers, and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to CI/CD, observability, and platform automation to improve development efficiency and operational excellence.
- Stay current with emerging backend technologies and continuously improve engineering standards and development processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 5 years of professional backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
- Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, concurrency, networking, and memory management.
- Experience building high-performance, distributed, and scalable backend systems.
- Solid understanding of Linux-based development and production environments, including debugging and performance optimization.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP/2, WebSocket, and related communication technologies.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar coding assistants.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently resolve complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional engineering teams.
Technical Skills
- Programming Languages: Go, Rust, Java, or C++
- Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, MyBatis, JPA, or equivalent backend frameworks
