IT Security Threat & Vulnerability Management Analyst


Location: Kuala Lumpur (Onsite)

Salary: Up to RM22,000/month

Employment Type : 1 Year Renewable Full Time Contract


Job Summary

The IT Security Threat & Vulnerability Management Analyst is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing security risks across the organization's IT environment. The role conducts vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security reviews to ensure systems comply with security standards and support secure infrastructure migration and operational readiness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, source code reviews, and security assessments for networks, web/mobile applications, and infrastructure.
  • Conduct Operational Readiness Reviews (ORR) for system, application, and server builds or migrations.
  • Manage the end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle, including planning, scanning, remediation tracking, and reporting.
  • Monitor and track remediation of security findings until closure, providing guidance to stakeholders where required.
  • Develop and maintain security standards, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support compliance requirements and improve the organization's security posture.
  • Prepare security assessment reports and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in vulnerability management, penetration testing, or IT security.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment and security testing tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, or similar).
  • Knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
