Job responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy in-house systems to support business operations and meet customer requirements.
• Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, coding standards, and development frameworks (Java, Python, SQL), ensuring proper documentation and version control.
• Enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability, particularly for manufacturing-related systems such as Shopfloor Control, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Supply Chain systems.
• Collaborate closely with Solution Architects (SA) and cross-functional teams to develop new features based on functional specifications.
• Perform unit testing, troubleshoot system issues, and implement timely bug fixes.
• Assess project feasibility, provide accurate development estimates, and update stakeholders on timelines and progress.
• Continuously improve coding practices and technical capabilities, contributing to a high-performing development team.
• Maintain source code repositories, version control, and IT documentation (e.g., manifests, deployment records).
• Conduct basic system analysis and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
• Provide backup support for system operations and assist in data extraction to support production and business needs.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in software development, with hands-on skills in Java, Python, and/or PL/SQL.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution System system support.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
• Passion for software development with a proactive attitude toward learning and self-improvement.
• Exposure to Manufacturing Information Systems (e.g., Shopfloor, WMS, Supply Chain) will be an advantage.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.
