Role Description The OQA Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Perai, focused on outgoing quality assurance for semiconductor and electronics test solutions. In this role, the technician inspects finished products and materials to ensure they meet defined specifications and quality standards before shipment. Day-to-day activities include performing visual and dimensional checks, running functional tests, documenting inspection findings, and preparing quality reports. The technician collaborates closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve nonconformities, support root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. This role also involves maintaining inspection equipment, following safety and quality procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Technical proficiency in quality inspection, including use of measurement tools, test equipment, and basic troubleshooting of mechanical or electronic assemblies.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes, standards, and documentation practices within manufacturing or electronics/semiconductor environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to interpret drawings or specifications, and skills in identifying and reporting nonconformities accurately.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production, engineering, and quality personnel on quality issues and improvements.
  • Basic computer literacy, including use of office software and quality reporting systems or databases.
  • Relevant technical education (e.g., diploma or certificate in engineering, electronics, manufacturing, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work on-site in Perai, follow safety protocols, and adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing, knowledge of ISO or similar quality standards, and familiarity with lean or continuous improvement practices are advantageous.
